YOU TAUGHT ME HOW TO SMILE

Some days were rainy days
I think of them today,
As my bad yesterday.

When reasoning left my side,
And the mirror laughed at my fears.
All my eyes did then, was to shed tears.

Taking nobody’s warning cautions.
Worries began to pile,
And so…I forgot how to smile.

Silence pulled me in slowly.
I look back at them as my errors,
And laugh, whom I once called terrors.

This transformation in me
I owe to you my dear.
Thank you for being near.

It’s you who made a better me.
I had forgotten myself for a while,
It’s you who taught me how to smile.
